Melissa Wayne Curry Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to juniors or seniors who are planning to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, with a preference for females born in & residing in NC.  Preference will be given to Biology majors, but others may be considered.   
Mary Motsinger Evans Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need to students majoring in Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Mathematics and Statistics, or Physics and Astronomy.
Gene And Pat Holder Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need to a full-time undergraduate student majoring (or intending to major) in a field of study within the College of Arts & Sciences.
Chris Velonis Miller Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need to a full-time undergraduate student majoring (or intending to major) in a field of study within the College of Arts & Sciences.
Whitney Ransome Scholarship in African American Studies Awarded primarily on the basis of achievement to full time students majoring in African American Studies. Financial need will be a secondary consideration.
Aline And Alice Spell Scholarship In The Sciences
Awarded to undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree in the Sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences (this would include, but is not limited to, Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics and Astronomy).  Preference will be given to female students.
Dilys Bass Stowell Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to undergraduate students with declared major in CAS. Preference given to students from Robeson County.
Laura B. & Christopher C. Tew Physical Sciences Scholarship Awarded to talented and deserving undergraduate students with majors in the Physics or Chemistry & Biochemistry departments.

Nancy Romefelt Mapes Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need to an undergraduate student majoring or minoring in (or intending to major in or minor in) Chemistry or Biochemistry.  Preference for female students.
Walter H. Puterbaugh Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to incoming freshman students, who are enrolled full-time, who plan to major in Chemistry or Biochemistry.  Recipients must have a minimum 1000 SAT (combined critical reading & math) and 3.0 high school GPA.
Florence L. Schaeffer Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to students majoring in Chemistry. 
Summerlin Family Scholarship in Chemistry
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to rising juniors and/or seniors majoring in Chemistry.
Mary Satterfield Taylor Award
Awarded to a graduating senior Chemistry major with the highest overall GPA of those students majoring in Chemistry.

Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to students majoring in Business or English.  
English Department Scholarship
Awarded to students majoring in English.
Matthew E. Russ And Ann Fitzmaurice-Russ Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate students majoring Psychology, Sociology, and Jazz Studies in the Music School, and to graduate students in the Creative Writing Program in the English Department.  Scholarship will rotate among these departments, so that each department makes awards once every four years.  
Elizabeth Robinson Fort Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to students majoring in English. 
Jean Gagen English Award
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to female graduate students majoring in English.
Anna Wooten Hawkins Graduate Award
Awarded to on the basis of academic merit to graduate students.
 
Leonard B. Hurley Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to senior students who are majoring in English.

Awarded to undergraduate students majoring in English who are talented writers and who desire to pursue careers in writing.
Randall Jarrell Creative Writing Scholarship
Awarded to a graduate student majoring in English who shows promise as a poet or writer.
Mildred Kates Dissertation Award
Awarded to a doctoral student majoring in English who is working on his or her dissertation.
Emmett J. And Clara C. King Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need to a junior or senior majoring in English.  Recipients must have at least a 3.0 GPA in English and at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
William G. & Kate Hodge Lane Fellowship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to a graduate student majoring in English. Preference given to students with a special interest in 19th century British literature.
Nancy and David McAllister Scholarship in Creative Writing Awarded to students enrolled full time in the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program.
Kathy Walker Phipps Graduate Award
Awarded on the basis of financial need to talented students pursuing a graduate degree within the Creative Writing Program.
Amon Liner Poetry Award
Awarded to a student poet, majoring in English, whose work has been or will be published by The Greensboro Review.
Winfield Scholarship
Awarded to a junior or senior English major with financial need and academic achievement.

Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to students majoring in History and/or Education.
Draper-Gullander-Largent Graduate Fellowship
Awarded to a graduate student majoring in History who intends to pursue a career in teaching. 
Betty Crawford Ervin Fellowship In History
Awarded on the basis of academic merit to graduate students in History.  Preference for NC residents.
Katherine Robinson Everett Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic merit to full-time students majoring in History.
Hilda B. Fountain History Fellowship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to an outstanding student for graduate studies in History.
Hilda Burton Fountain Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to an outstanding rising senior who is majoring in History.
Gayle Hicks Fripp Museum Studies Internship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement and the student's potential as a museum professional to provide internship opportunities. Preferred recipient will be a 1st year History M.A. student in the Museum Studies concentration. If no qualified History M.A. candidates are available, it may be awarded to a qualified Interior Architecture M.A. student in the Museum Studies concentration.
Richard G. Lane Memorial History Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to students majoring in History.   Preference will be given to students with an interest in Asian Studies or military history.
Vera Largent Scholarship
Awarded to a rising senior history major who has financial need.
Anna Shaw Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement.
Allen W. Trelease Graduate Fellowship
Awarded on the basis of merit to doctoral students majoring in History.

Mary Glendinning Elam Scholarship
Awarded to entering graduate students majoring in Interior Architecture.  Strong undergraduate students may also be considered.

Awarded to students enrolled in the Department of Interior Architecture who have an interest in international travel and studying abroad.
Vera Armfield Foscue Scholarship
Awarded to students majoring in Interior Architecture.

Awarded to students majoring in Political Science to support internship work that facilitates service learning and civic engagement in political, social welfare, health, and other community agencies.
Cemala Non-Profit Fellowship For Part-Time Students
Awarded to students admitted to the MPA program and working in a Guilford County non-profit agency.
Cemala Non-Profit Fellowship For Full-Time Students
Awarded to full-time students in the MPA program.  Preference is given to students likely to remain in Guilford County upon graduation.  The award is $8000 for the first year in the MPA program and is not renewable.
Cemala Non-Profit Internships
Awarded to students who have been admitted to the MAP program.  Students must intern in a Guilford County nonprofit agency.  Award is $4000 annually.
Political Science Award
Awarded to a promising senior majoring in Political Science, with preference for a student who is going on to graduate school.
Anna Shaw Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement.
Mina Weil Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a junior or senior majoring in a social science.  Award rotates among multiple academic departments.
