Most funds administered by the Graduate School are limited to fully-admitted graduate students pursuing degrees. These funds include grants, scholarships, fellowships, and assistantships. Graduate students may be eligible for funds listed in other sections, especially their department, and should review each section carefully. Fund Eligible Students
Rev. And Mrs. G. Albanese Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to graduate students majoring in Nutrition.  Award may be renewable for a second year.

Alumni Fellowship
Awarded to graduate students.

Mary Elizabeth Barwick And C. Jackson Sink Fellowship In The Humanities
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to graduate students majoring in any discipline within the Humanities.

Class Of 1933 Graduate Fellowship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to graduate students.  Financial need may also be considered.

Excellence Fellowship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to graduate students.  

George And Beatrice Goldman Fisher Gerontology Doctoral Dissertation Award
Awarded for the doctoral dissertation, in any field of study at UNCG, which best advances improvement in the quality of life of the elderly. 

George And Beatrice Goldman Fisher Gerontology Master's Thesis Award
Awarded for the master's thesis or master's research project, in any field of study at UNCG, which best advances improvement in the quality of life of the elderly. 

Charles Hayes Graduate Fellowship
Awarded to graduate students.

Pauline Hester Green Hester And Brigadier General Hugh B. Hester Graduate Fellowship
Awarded to graduate students.

Adelaide Fortune Holderness Fellowship
Awarded to candidates admitted to the Masters of Fine Arts degree in Art, the Doctoral of Musical Arts degree and the doctoral program in Human Development & Family Studies. 

Ellen Tucker Lyon Fellowship
Awarded on the basis of academic merit to graduate students in any discipline.

Helen Amelia Mieras Graduate Scholarship In Nursing & Music
Awarded to a full-time graduate student in the School of Nursing or the School of Music (in alternating years).  When awarded to a student in the School of Music, preference will be given to a student whose principle instrument is in the brass family.

Henry Weil Fellowship
Awarded on the basis of academic merit to a graduating senior student for use towards graduate studies.

Josie Nance White Fellowship

Awarded to graduate students pursuing a doctoral degree in Human Development & Family Studies or Curriculum& Instruction (focus on early childhood education).
