The Deans' Scholars Program offers incoming first-year students four-year renewable scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 annually. This program is extremely competitive. It emphasizes academic rigor demonstrated by the completion of Advanced Placement (AP), honors, and college level courses while in high school. Preference will be given to students who have succeeded in such classes. Deans' Scholars awards can be renewed for up to four years of the student's undergraduate study, as long as the student maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and good citizenship.
Current high school seniors must complete a Merit Awards Program Application to be considered for the Deans' Scholars Program. The minimum criteria for applicants are an 1100 SAT I score (or ACT score of 24) and a cumulative high school GPA of 3.50. Contact your high school guidance counselor or the Financial Aid Office at 336-334-5702 to obtain an application.
The individual scholarships in the Deans' Scholars Program are listed in the academic departments that offer them.
