Only upper division students (juniors, seniors, and graduate students) may apply for funds administered by the School of Nursing. All funds awarded through the School of Nursing require completion of the School of Nursing Scholarship Application. Completing one application provides consideration for all funds. The application is available on or around December 1st from the Office of the Associate Dean of the School of Nursing, (336) 334-5280. The application deadline is generally on or around March 1st.

Annie D. Wilson Scholarship

Awarded to students majoring in the School of Nursing.

Martha Barham Graduate Scholarship In Nursing

Awarded to a student admitted to the graduate program of the School of Nursing in either the Administration concentration or in the MSN/MBA program.

Dr. Ruby Gilbert Barnes Scholarship

Awarded to graduate students majoring in the School of Nursing.  Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and must have completed at least 6 semester hours in Nursing.

Emma And Victor Bates Fellowship In Gerontological Nursing
Awarded to graduate students enrolled in the School of Nursing's Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Program.

Victor And Emma Bates Scholarship

Awarded to students admitted to the School of Nursing.  Recipients must be NC residents, with preference being given to students from Guilford, Yadkin and Montgomery counties.

William F. & Joann F. Black Rn To Bsn Scholarship

Awarded to undergraduate students who are registered nurses with an associate degree or a diploma in nursing who are currently enrolled in the RN to BSN Program.  Recipients must be employed full-time or part-time by the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, and must enroll for a minimum of 6-9 credit hours per semester at UNCG.  The scholarship may be renewable for a second year provided recipients maintain a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.  

Mildred Perkins Caldwell/St. Leo'S Hospital Scholarship

Awarded to students majoring in the School of Nursing.

Cassell/Saperstein Scholarship

Awarded primarily on the basis of financial need to a student majoring in the School of Nursing.

Cathy Curtis Moore Scholarship In Nursing

Awarded primarily on the basis of financial need to a junior or senior majoring in Nursing.  Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and should be active in the Association of Nursing Students.

Moses Cone Memorial Hospital Volunteers Scholarship

Awarded to a junior or senior majoring in Nursing, with a preference being given to students with financial need. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to students from Guilford or adjoining counties.

Daphine Doster Scholarship In Nursing

Awarded on the basis of academic merit to students majoring in the School of Nursing.

Eileen Greene Evans Graduate Scholarship in Nursing Education

Awarded to a graduate student in the School of Nursing, preferably one with the Nursing Education concentration. Recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester.

Marilyn Lang Evans Rn To Bsn Scholarship

Awarded on the basis of merit to students enrolled in the Hickory Outreach RN to BSN program.  Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester.  Recipients may be eligible for renewal provided they re-apply for the scholarship and have a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA.

Evergreens Senior Healthcare System Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded to students who are enrolled in one of the following programs within the School of Nursing:  BSN, RN to BSN, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program in Gerontological Nursing or the Master of Science program.  Recipients must be enrolled full-time and must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Awarded to a student admitted to the upper division of the School of Nursing

Arnold & Signe Gholson Scholarship In Nursing 

Awarded to a junior or senior enrolled in the upper division of the undergraduate prelicensure program in the School of Nursing.

Margie Fulp Hatley Rn To Bsn Scholarship In Nursing

Awarded to a student admitted to the RN to BSN program in the School of Nursing.

Hearst Fellowship For Geriatric Nurse Practioners
Awarded to graduate students enrolled in the School of Nursing's Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Program.

Ethel Stewart Kiser Scholarship

Awarded on the basis of financial need to a female undergraduate student majoring in the School of Nursing.  Preference will be given to students from Harnett County.

Margaret Grim Klemer Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate students majoring in the School of Nursing, with preference being given to students who have expressed clinical interest in pediatric or maternal nursing.  

Nell Hendrix Knight Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need to rising junior or senior students majoring in the School of Nursing, with preference being given to NC residents, particularly Guilford County residents. 

Roena Bullis Kulynych Fellowship In Geriatric Nursing
Awarded to full-time students who are admitted to the in Master of Science in Nursing program who are committed to serving the elderly population.  The scholarship may be renewable for a second year provided the student has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.  

Vera Belle Copeland Lashley Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to rising junior, senior or graduate students who are majoring in the School of Nursing.  Preference will be given to students who are residents of NC, particularly students from Moore County.

Sue Ayers Beeson Fund For The Eloise R. Lewis Scholarship In Nursing

Awarded on the basis of merit to rising juniors or seniors to are enrolled in the undergraduate pre-licensure program in the School of Nursing.  Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.  The award may be renewable provided the recipient maintains the 3.25 minimum GPA requirement.

Rachel Dawn Llewellyn Memorial Nursing Scholarship In International Service Learning
Awarded on the basis of merit to a senior student enrolled in the prelicensure program in the School of Nursing who participates in an annual School of Nursing-sponsored international service learning project.

Mcgoldrick-Propst Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded to a student admitted to the upper division of the School of Nursing.

Stephanie G. Metzger Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a student enrolled in the upper division of the undergraduate prelicensure program in the School of Nursing. Preference will be given to non-residents.

Margaret C. Moore Scholarship
Awarded to students majoring in the School of Nursing.

Anne Murphy Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate students majoring in the School of Nursing, with preference being given to students who have expressed interest in Occupational Health Nursing.  

Nc Baptist Hospitals, Inc. Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of academic achievement to students admitted to the MSN program in the School of Nursing with a concentration in Nurse Anesthesia.

Tom F. Nolan Memorial Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded on the basis of financial need to students majoring in the School of Nursing.

Uncg School Of Nursing Alumni Association Scholarship
Awarded to a rising senior student majoring in the School of Nursing.

Barbara Osguthorpe Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded on the basis of financial need to undergraduate students in the School of Nursing who are enrolled in the prelicensure BSN degree program or the RN to BSN program.  BSN students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester and RN to BSN students must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours each semester.

Sandra M. (Sandy) and Richad G. (Dick) Ouellette Graduate Scholarship in Nurse Anesthesia
Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to a student enrolled in the graduate program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing and the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Nurse Anesthesia Program. Scholarship may be renewable for a second year provided recipient continues to meet eligibility requirements.

Drusilla Pearson Trull & William B. Pearson Memorial Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded to students in the RN to BSN program who are enrolled in six credit hours or more, or to juniors or seniors enrolled in the undergraduate prelicensure program in the School of Nursing.

Rita Hundley Pickler Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded to rising junior or senior students who are enrolled in the prelicensure program in the School of Nursing.  Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.  Scholarship may be renewable provided the minimum GPA is maintained.  

John Joseph Rall Scholarship
Awarded to students majoring in Nursing, with preference for students with financial need.

Bridgett Wilson Ridge Scholarshp
Awarded to students majoring in the School of Nursing.

William C. Roper II Scholarship in Nursing
Awarded to Nursing students who have served in the United States armed services and received an honorable discharge. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the upper division of the undergraduate prelicensure program in the School of Nursing.

Rn To Bsn Scholarship Fund
Awarded to students majoring in Nursing.

Kathleen Lynch Simpson Scholarship
Awarded to a rising junior or senior enrolled in the upper division of the undergraduate prelicensure program in the School of Nursing.

Rebecca Jensen Scott Fellowship In Nurse Anesthesia
Awarded on the basis of merit to a student fully admitted to the Graduate School and accepted into the clinical residency of one of the associated Nurse Anesthesia programs at the UNCG School of Nursing.

Phyllis & Stanley Shavitz Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded to a rising junior or senior enrolled in the upper division of the undergraduate prelicensure program in the School of Nursing.

Ella Reed Young, Margaret Anne Landon & Mildred G. Shaw Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded on the basis of merit to rising juniors or seniors enrolled in the RN to BSN program in the School of Nursing, or to junior or senior student who is seeking a BSN as a second baccalaureate degree.  Scholarship may be renewable provided recipient maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25,

Katie Shepherd Scholarship
Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to undergraduate students majoring in the School of Nursing.

Blanche Rigsby Shore Scholarship in Nursing
Awarded on the basis of financial need to students fully admitted to the undergraduate or graduate program in the School of Nursing.

Frances Fowler Stanton Scholarship
Awarded to students fully admitted to the undergraduate or graduate program in the School of Nursing.

Well Spring Scholarship in Nursing
Awarded to full-time students enrolled in the baccalaureate or graduate degree programs in the UNCG School of Nursing, with preference being given to students seeking a BSN degree. Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Gladys Thornton Memorial Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded on the basis of financial need and academic achievement to students majoring in the School of Nursing.  Preference will be given to students who are NC residents.  

John W. Umstead, Jr. Scholarship
Awarded to students majoring in the School of Nursing.  Financial need may be considered in making selections.

Wesley Long Community Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship
Awarded to students majoring in the School of Nursing.  Financial need may be considered in making selections.

Ruth C. Wilson Scholarship In Nursing
Awarded to students majoring in the School of Nursing.

Betty Sue Cheek Yarborough Endowed Fund In Nursing

Awarded on the basis of financial need to a junior or senior student enrolled in the BSN program in the School of Nursing.  Scholarship may be renewable.
